There were Baileys in Rockbridge/Botetourt 1810, 1830 but the body counts do not add up

Sure interesting. I found a David Bradley and family in Rockbridge Co.I was not able to find Bailey at all so far. Must be looking in all the wrong places. 5 kids with the same first names, coincidence??

Whatever excuse you want to use for being a dizzy blonde is ok with me. :)Yeah, it makes my head spin, too. When there are kids who marry and name their kids the same thing, it gets hard to keep those last names straight. I found myself looking for Rhodes births instead of Fields.

I don't think they cared which county they registered the birth or death in. It surely never occured to them that we'd ever be looking. I just wish they'd gotten married in their home counties.

Alzie is actually Olga Virginia, born 6/7/1924. Dale was born 11/25/1914, Wm Austin, 11/26/1915, Oscar Owens born 6/20/1927. It's possible Dale and Wm Austin were the same person, with the birth recorded twice and in different years. I've seen that happen more than once.

Joyce, what state do you live in?
