  In reply to your request of ______, received ________, for a statement of the military history of Jacob Rhoades or Rhodes, a soldier of the REVOLUTIONARY WAR, you will find below the desired information as contained in his (or his widow's) application for pension on file in this Bureau.

Date of application for pension: April 7, 1818, et al.

Residence at date of Application: Lyman, York County, ME

Age at date of application: 54 years

Remarks: In 1820 he refers to his wife Susanna age 46, son Jacob, age 15, daughter Nancy, age 10, and Susanna, age 6 years.  On December 20, 1839 he moved Lyman, ME with Sarah Cousens.  He died in Dayton, York Co. ME Sept. 6, 1861 and Sarah lived there when she applied for pension February 18, 1862, age 86 yrs. her I was al [sic].
