  apprenticed to brass founder in hull,when out of his time he commenced business on his own,he built a house and foundrey on st john street,in hullafter several very succesful years and a well established business the dock company obtained an act to make a new dock. His premises along with many others were taken,being unable to find suitable space near by he had to move out of town.the fact that also feared his sons might be tempted to go to sea, so he moved to Nottinghamwhere the lace buisness was making great stride and good help was needed. Soon both of his sons became rnowned in he lace machine building trade. His eldest son Josiah was active in the church and soon became well nown among the collicry and iron workers interesting benjamin was bap in Kingston-upon-hull fish st chapel also in Wesleyn chapel Goxhill,lanca. these might be the same i have not completed my research yet so will leave at fish st. which comes from bishops transcripts filmed by the L D S church also bap at Fish creek ind.
