Rhodes Family Bible Records

"My husband's great great grandparents were Johnnie Bishop and Julia Washington Rhodes. Johnnie's mother, Ellen McGraw Bishop, and Julia's father, David Sullivan Rhodes, married each other after the deaths of their first spouses. Thus Johnnie and Julia were stepbrother and stepsister as well as husband and wife. David Sullivan Rhodes was Johnnie's stepfather AND father-in law, and Ellen McGraw Bishop Rhodes was Julia's stepmother AND mother-in-law.
The following information is taken from photocopies of pages from an old family bible. The copies were shared with me by another researcher, who has long since forgotten who sent her the pages. If you recognize the material and think you know where it came from and who has the Bible now, please let me know!"

Eleanor Ann Eldest Daughter of D. S. & M. E. Rhodes was born April 25th, 1848.
Louisa J second Daughter of D. S. & M. E. Rhodes was born June 29th 1850.
James Carroll Eldest son of D. S. and M. E. Rhodes was born May 9th, 1852.
Vienna Rebecca Third Daughter was born May 4th 1854.

John Wesley second son of D. S. & M. E. Rhodes was born April 7th 1856.
Harriete Clementine Fourth Daughter of D. S. & M. E. Rhodes was born August 7, 1858.
David Watkins Third son of D. S. & M. E. Rhodes was born May 6th 1860.
Mollie Emma Fifth daughter of D. S. & M. E. Rhodes was born October 13, 1862.
Julia Washington sixth Daughter of D. S. & M. E. Rhodes was born November 29th, 1863.
Willie Rice Seventh daughter of D. S. and M. E. Rhodes was born November 22, 1866.

Minnie Rush Eldest daughter of D. S. and E. ? Rhodes was born October 7th 1874.
Oscar Newton Eldest son of D. S. and E. ? Rhodes was born July 18th, 1876.
David Holmes Aston was born August 12th 1870.
William Ira Seay was born March 23, 1876.
Algin Preston Seay was born November 24th 1877.
David Madison Seay was born October 8, 1879.

MARRIAGES
D. S. Rhodes and Mary E Beall was married 16 March 1847.
J. L. Aston and E. A. Rhodes was married May 20th 1869.
W. T. Ray and L. J. Rhodes was married February 8, 1871.
W. B. Seay and H. C. Rhodes was married June 2nd 1875.
D. S. Rhodes and E. ? Bishop was married December 3rd, 1873.

DEATHS
David W. son of D. S. and M. E. Rhodes died Augt 13th 1862.
Mollie E. daughter of D. S. and M. E. Rhodes died Decm 7, 1862.
James C. son of D. S. and M. E. Rhodes died Feby 16th, 1869.
Mary E. Rhodes wife of D. S. Rhodes died October 15th, 1873.
David Madison Seay died September 3rd, 1881.
D. S. Rhodes died Sept. 27, 1907.
